BR-017 · Documentation Review

Brand: Koi CBD. Report-card status: Concern. Koi provides a public batch-number COA lookup and flexible account-based subscription controls. Current concerns come from the seller’s live documentation: return pages conflict over 30-day versus 90-day refund windows, and some CBD pages make categorical drug-test and safety statements that conflict with warnings elsewhere on the same site.

Brand Report Card

Check Result Current evidence
COA access Pass Koi provides a public lab-results page built around the product’s unique batch number, and current product pages also expose COA links. During the September 12 crawler recheck, the central lookup displayed an unable-to-load state, so the interface limitation is recorded rather than ignored.
Batch matching Pass The September 5 audit verified the exact-batch route, and the current lab page still instructs buyers to enter the unique batch number from the package. The September 12 crawler did not reproduce a new batch result because the lookup widget returned an unable-to-load state.
Test-panel coverage Unknown BR-017 did not inspect every current Koi certificate or assign a brand-wide contaminant-panel Pass.
Label and product-page clarity Concern Current pages contain internal policy and claim conflicts. Koi’s dedicated return page gives a 90-day full-refund window, while its Terms and several product/collection pages still state a 30-day guarantee. Current CBD vape copy also makes categorical safety and drug-test claims that are broader than the warnings shown elsewhere.
THC wording Concern The September 5 sampled wording passed, but the September 12 recheck found broader live-site conflicts. A current broad-spectrum gummy page describes THC as rendered undetectable at 0.001%, while a CBD vape collection says there is no risk of failing a drug test; other Koi product warnings tell people subject to drug testing not to use the product.
Refund terms Concern Koi’s dedicated Return Policy currently describes a 90-day full-refund window and a partial refund through 150 days, while the Terms and multiple live product/collection pages still describe a 30-day money-back guarantee. BR-017 records the conflict rather than choosing one policy for the buyer.
Subscription cancellation Pass Koi says subscriptions can be paused or canceled through Manage Subscriptions and advertises cancellation at any time.
Customer service test Not Tested CBDCafe did not contact Koi customer service for BR-017.
Regulatory-record search Not Assessed BR-017 does not use company-targeted enforcement-record searches as a scoring field. The current result is based on seller documentation, buyer terms, COA access, and live wording reviewed on this page.
Evidence freshness Pass The 20-brand audit was checked September 5, 2026. Batch lookup, returns, subscriptions, and current catalog wording were rechecked September 12, 2026.

COA Access and Batch Matching

Koi provides a public lab-results lookup built around the unique batch number printed on the product package. That gives shoppers a direct path from the item in hand to the seller’s matching laboratory record rather than relying on a generic example certificate.

This supports a Pass for public COA access and exact-batch matching. BR-017 keeps brand-wide test-panel coverage Unknown because CBDCafe did not inspect every current Koi certificate or assume that every panel appears on every batch.

Return Terms Conflict, Subscription Controls Are Clearer

Koi currently publishes two materially different consumer return frameworks. Its dedicated Return Policy says returns initiated within 90 days of purchase receive a full refund and returns after 90 days but before 150 days receive a 50% refund. Its Terms and several live product and collection pages still describe a 30-day money-back guarantee. BR-017 records that inconsistency as a Concern rather than assuming which page controls a particular order.

Koi’s subscription documentation is more consistent. The current Subscribe & Save page advertises 20% recurring savings and says customers can change frequency, pause, or cancel through Manage Subscriptions before the next order date.

Current Claim Conflicts Worth Recording

Koi’s current CBD vape collection says CBD isolate carries “no risk” of failing a drug test and separately describes CBD itself as incredibly safe. Elsewhere, Koi product warnings tell people who are subject to drug testing not to use the product. A current broad-spectrum gummy page also describes THC as rendered undetectable at 0.001%, which mixes a numerical concentration with non-detect wording.

These are documentation concerns, not findings that a named Koi batch is unsafe or that a user will fail a drug test. FDA’s general CBD consumer guidance says available safety data point to real risks, including liver injury and drug interactions, and CBDCafe does not treat a seller page as capable of predicting an individual’s drug-test result.

How to Verify Koi CBD Documentation Now

  1. Find the unique batch number on the package.
  2. Enter that number in Koi’s Lab Results lookup and open the matching report.
  3. Confirm product identity, strength, batch, report date, cannabinoid results, reporting limits, and the panels actually shown.
  4. Use the current product page and matching certificate rather than assuming an older warning letter describes the present catalog.
  5. Review the 30-day guarantee before the deadline if a return may be needed.
  6. If subscribing, review the next shipment date and use Manage Subscriptions to pause or cancel before the next order processes.
