Brand-level documentation checks

CBD Brand Report Cards compare the public systems a company gives buyers for checking products. They look at COA access, batch matching, label clarity, THC wording, return and subscription terms, and evidence freshness without collapsing the result into one letter grade.

How Brand Report Cards Work

Result Meaning
Pass The current public evidence meets the stated brand-level check.
Concern Current public information conflicts, creates a material limitation, or needs clearer disclosure.
Unknown CBDCafe does not have enough evidence to make the check. Unknown never counts as Pass.
Not Tested CBDCafe did not perform that test, such as contacting customer service.

What We Check

For findings across the reviewed records, see the CBD COA Access and Label Quality Report. For batch-level evidence tied to named products, browse the CBD Product Passports. For a dated side-by-side comparison of return windows, opened-product rules, recurring-order controls, and cancellation cutoffs across 12 reviewed brands, use the CBD Return Policies and Subscription Terms guide.

  • Whether certificates of analysis are publicly accessible
  • Whether shoppers can match products to batches or lots
  • Whether available reports show useful testing panels across sampled products
  • Whether product labels and seller pages clearly explain strength and composition
  • Whether THC and spectrum wording matches the available evidence
  • Whether refund and subscription terms are clear and internally consistent
  • Whether a customer-service test was actually performed
  • Whether the evidence is recent enough to support the current check

Brand Checks and Product Passports Answer Different Questions

A CBD Product Passport examines a named product and batch. A Brand Report Card examines the company’s public documentation system and policies across the brand. A strong brand-level result does not guarantee every product or batch, and a single product concern does not automatically define an entire brand.

To check the underlying evidence yourself, use the CBD COA Batch-Match Checklist to verify product and lot identity, the COA Red-Flag Checker to organize missing or conflicting report fields, and the CBD Product Comparison Builder to compare documented Product Passports side by side.
