What Do We Check?
CBD labels can pack a lot of certainty into a few words: full spectrum, broad spectrum, THC-free, lab tested, premium, clean, and high potency. Those phrases can sound useful while leaving hard questions unanswered.
We focus on facts a buyer can verify: product and batch identity, certificate-of-analysis match, report date, CBD potency, THC and THCA results, reporting limits, contaminant panels, ingredients, delivered price, subscription terms, refund policy, warning-letter history, and legal status.
When evidence is missing, we say it is missing. We do not turn an unknown into a passing mark.

Why “Cafe”?
The name is meant to feel like a place where a complicated label can be set on the table and read slowly while you relax. CBDCafe.org is an information site. We do not sell CBD coffee, food, drinks, or other CBD products.
How Do Product Passports Work?
We do not reduce a CBD product to one star score. A Product Passport shows separate evidence fields so a result in one area cannot hide a missing report in another.
- Pass: Available evidence meets the published rule for that field.
- Concern: Evidence conflicts, falls outside the rule, or raises a material question.
- Unknown: The fact or report needed to make the check was not available.
- Not Applicable: The check does not apply to that product form.
A pass is not a claim that a product is safe for every person. A current COA is useful evidence, but it cannot answer every safety, medication-interaction, or individual-response question.
CBD Cafe’s Source Standard
Health and product-safety statements should lead to primary public sources such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Legal reports should link to enacted laws, bill text, votes, agency records, or court documents. Laboratory-method explanations should point to standards bodies or government science agencies when those records are available.
Every evidence-heavy page shows a last-checked date. Time-sensitive legal coverage states whether a measure is proposed, passed by Congress, signed, effective, delayed, or subject to later action.
Commercial Relationships Do Not Buy a Better Result
CBDCafe.org may earn revenue from affiliate links, sponsors, or business services. Commercial relationships must be disclosed and kept separate from evidence ratings. A product does not receive a better Passport because a company pays, supplies a sample, or joins an affiliate program.
Paid placement should never appear in a comparison ranking as if it earned the position.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not recommend a personal CBD dose.
- We do not promise relief from pain, anxiety, sleep problems, or any other condition from a consumer CBD product.
- We do not promise that a product will produce a negative drug test.
- We do not call “non-detect” the same thing as absolute zero.
- We do not treat a missing test as a passing test.
- We do not present proposed legislation as enacted law.
